“San Miguel” is the main brand of COALA in the introduction to the market of hydroponic grown fresh vegetables.

Since 50 years ago, the founder of the company and the creator of “San Miguel” began growing tomatoes in open fields. During that time he worked in the community of San Miguel Tlatetelco in Morelos, this region stand up for having high quality tomatoes.

When COALA was born, we introduced hydroponic grown tomatoes and continued using “San Miguel” in order to follow with the family tradition in this new approach.

The meaning of “San Miguel” also has to do with San Miguel archangel and the symbol of protection that represents. “San Miguel” represents the importance for our company to have food products of high quality and safety for everyone.
